How it works
Every clause, read from your side of the deal.
Baxendale reads the whole contract, works out its type and the parties, and checks it against the review checklist for that type: liability, indemnities, renewal, termination, data, IP and more. Each issue is ranked, explained in plain English and paired with the wording to ask for.
And every issue quotes the clause it came from, so you can check it in seconds.

What you get
Everything in every review
Each issue explains why it matters and what to ask for, so you can negotiate, not just worry.
Issues ranked by risk
High, medium and low, across 17 categories, from indemnities and liability caps to renewal terms and data protection.
Missing clauses caught
It also flags the protections that aren’t there, like a deadline to report a data breach or an uptime commitment.
Quotes you can check
Every issue quotes the clause word for word, with its page and section. If the quote isn’t in your document, the issue isn’t shown.
Reviewed from your side
A clause can be fine for one party and risky for the other. Choose your side and the advice follows. Re-run it for the other side any time.

What does Baxendale do?
It reads a contract, works out the contract type and the parties, and reviews it from your side. You get a short summary, the risky and missing clauses ranked by severity, key dates and terms, and suggested wording you can accept, edit and export to Word.
Who is it for?
Business teams who sign contracts without a lawyer on every deal, such as founders, operations, procurement and sales. And law firms and in-house legal teams who want a faster, consistent first pass before they review a contract themselves.
Is this legal advice?
No. Baxendale is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. It gives you an AI-generated first review. Every issue quotes the clause it is based on so you can check it, and important decisions should still go to a qualified lawyer.
Which files can I upload?
Text-based PDF and Word (.docx) files up to 50 MB. Scanned PDFs and older .doc files aren’t supported yet.
Which contracts does it work with?
Commercial agreements of all kinds, including service, license, supply, distribution, reseller, consulting and development agreements. Each type has its own review checklist. Any other contract, such as an NDA, is reviewed against a general checklist covering liability, indemnities, termination, renewal, assignment and confidentiality.
How long does a review take?
Minutes, not days. Longer contracts take longer, and you can keep working while a review runs.
Are my contracts used to train AI models?
No. Your contracts are never used to train AI models. They are encrypted in transit and at rest, and only people in your organization can see them.
How do I get access?
We’re onboarding teams one at a time during early access. Fill in the request access form with a little about your team and the contracts you review, and we’ll set up your workspace and send you a link to sign in.
Every contract deserves a careful first read.
