Terms of service
Last updated October 20, 2026
These terms apply when you or your organization use Baxendale (the “service”). If you accept them on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to do so. A signed agreement or order form with us takes precedence over these terms where they differ.
1. The service
Baxendale reviews contracts you upload and produces summaries, findings, key terms and suggested changes. The service is in early access: we are improving it continuously, and features may change.
2. Not legal advice
Baxendale is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Its analysis is generated by AI and may be incomplete or wrong. Check each issue against the clause it quotes before relying on it, and consult a qualified lawyer for decisions that matter. You are responsible for the decisions you make using the service.
3. Accounts
Access is by invitation. Keep access to your email account secure, because sign-in codes are sent there. You are responsible for activity under your account. Owners and admins of an organization manage who has access to its workspace.
4. Your content
You keep all rights in the contracts and other content you upload. You give us permission to store and process that content only to provide the service to you. You confirm that you have the right to upload it. We never use your content to train AI models.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for anything unlawful;
- try to access another organization’s data or bypass security controls;
- overload, disrupt or reverse engineer the service;
- resell or provide the service to others without our written agreement.
6. Fees
Fees are as agreed in writing with your organization. During early access we agree pricing with each customer individually.
7. Confidentiality
We treat your content as confidential. We disclose it only to the service providers we need to run the service, or when the law requires it, in which case we will tell you first where we are allowed to.
8. Ending the service
You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend access for a serious breach of these terms. When your account ends, you can ask us to export or delete your organization’s content.
9. Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is” during early access, without warranties of any kind, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or revenue, and each party’s total liability under these terms is limited to the fees paid or payable to us in the twelve months before the claim.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will update the date above and tell customers about material changes before they take effect.
